Digital homage to Hieronymus Bosch and Wu-Tang clan
The Garden of Unearthish Delights
CG Installation for a game engine reimagining Bosch's painting The Garden of Earthly Delights. In the original painting, finished between 1490-1510 strawberries play a crucial role, representing lust. Building on the theme of desire and temptations, the artist remakes it as a garden of strawberries and cream, referencing Wu-Tang Clan's "Cash Rules Everything Around Me". Digital clones of the artist's cat, Strawberry, populate and explore the garden-variety puns and easter eggs, referencing artist's earlier works and imagery, with each tower built out of ready-made 3D assets with the Bosch's prototype in mind.

Originally developed for NotLand, virtual non-game / exhibition.
Curated by FFTN (Irina Aksenova) and KZ gallery (Ekaterina Mikhatova).
Developed by Dmitry Rotkin.

Dear Pansies,

hello and welcome to The Garden of Unearthish delights!

Today we're revisiting the great Dutch strawberry painting and some hard truths delivered by the Wu-Tang Clan. Nevermind the waiter did not have cream, it still rules everything around us. Or was it cash? Cats?

Don't get too distracted on the sweet course of garden variety temptations — take your five finger discount and make your way out on fire escape.
